About Raze Sports

Raze Sports is an Edmonton-based player-management agency led by veteran agent Ritch Winter. Winter’s agency lineage reaches back to the mid-1980s, and his reputation was built around player advocacy, NHLPA reform involvement, pension-rights battles and high-profile NHL career strategy. Raze’s current identity is more modern and performance-focused: its public messaging centers on “more opportunity, more production, more money,” but also on mental performance, personal coaching, family support and post-career planning.

Todd Reynolds became a major part of the platform after Raze acquired Uptown Hockey in 2022, bringing a long-running Ontario client book and a history with players such as Mike Fisher, Keith Primeau and Chris Neil. The current Raze NHL roster is led by Zach Hyman, Tyler Bertuzzi, Yakov Trenin, Mason Appleton, Eric Robinson, Wyatt Kaiser, Ty Dellandrea and Calvin Pickard. The agency has a notable veteran-player lane, especially for forwards who need fit, role clarity and opportunity as much as raw cap leverage.

It also has a development lane through young players such as Emmitt Finnie, Jacob Melanson, Nikita Prishchepov and Talyn Boyko. Renat Mamashev gives Raze a direct Russian/KHL-facing layer, while WinWin-Sports and Marc Langbein extend the agency’s footprint into Germany and European development markets. Bryan Dubé adds Eastern Canada and PWHLPA-certified representation capacity, and Justin Lentz brings legal, scouting and analytics experience in Western Canada.

Raze is also unusual among agencies of this size in how openly it markets mental health and performance coaching as part of the representation package. Its biggest recent public contracts show a mix of UFA security, RFA bridge work, goalie value deals, ELCs and AHL/NHL two-way structures. The result is a player-first agency with a strong legacy name, a practical NHL contract book and a clear emphasis on career design rather than negotiation alone.
